How Telehealth Works

How Telehealth Pediatric Nutrition Works for Ohio Families

Curious what a virtual dietitian visit actually looks like? Here's exactly how telehealth pediatric nutrition care works at Healthy Little Me, from booking to your first session.

Secure Video Visits No Waiting Rooms Statewide Access

Every appointment at Healthy Little Me happens over a secure video call, Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM–5:00 PM. After booking, you'll get a private video link for your appointment time - no separate app download or in-person paperwork required. A parent or caregiver joins pediatric visits alongside the child.

Registered Dietitians are licensed on a state-by-state basis, and generally must be licensed in whatever state the client is physically located in at the time of the visit. Nisrine is licensed across 17 states, including Ohio, so families across the state - not just near Columbus - can book with the same provider.

What You'll Need

What You'll Need for a Telehealth Visit

Getting set up takes just a few minutes.

A Private Space & Stable Internet

Somewhere quiet where your child can talk openly, with a reliable internet connection.

A Phone, Tablet, or Computer with a Camera

Any modern device with video calling works - no special software to install.

A Recent Food Log or Growth Chart (Optional)

Helpful but not required - we can also work from what you remember.

A Parent or Caregiver Present

For pediatric visits, a parent or guardian joins to support the conversation.

Effectiveness

Is Telehealth Nutrition Therapy as Effective as In-Person?

For most pediatric nutrition and eating disorder nutrition care, telehealth removes barriers like travel time, missed school or work, and limited access to specialists - without giving up the individualized attention of an in-person visit. Sessions are just as structured and personalized; the only difference is the screen. If your child's situation requires in-person medical monitoring (for example, certain acute refeeding scenarios), Nisrine will coordinate with a local physician as part of your care team.
